ENTER THE HOUSE OF DEBAUCHERY

In the past few years I have shown my art at countless public events.  While I gladly welcome feedback on my art, one comment that I often hear, (and can’t get seem to get out of my mind), is, “Oh my god! I could NEVER hang THAT on my wall! What if my mother saw it?!!

My response is…..“What? So you don’t think your mother has ever seen a penis? How did you get here anyway? Were you a turkey baster baby?” If you are still living with your mom, maybe you need to grow up, come out of the closet and move to your own place. And unless your mother pays your mortgage, she shouldn’t be telling you how to decorate your home.”

But let’s be serious, I realize that some people are puzzled as to how to discretely display erotic art.  If you still are worried about mom discovering your fascination with the male body… you could do try the following tricks that a few of my collectors have shown me.

Hide your erotic art behind paintings that are hinged to the wall. You would need to create a hole in the wall with adequate lighting for a place to install the erotic art. You then hinge the G-rated art over the wall inset. (Just like a wall safe behind a painting) When ever you want to look at your erotic art you just open the hinge and there is your painting. No one else will ever know its there. A similar idea is to hang an erotic painting on the inside (or behind), your bedroom door. Hopefully your home is YOUR sanctuary and your bedroom is off limits to uninvited guests.

Create a secret room or closet in your home. If you don’t have the space for a secret room, you can always store erotic art in a chest at the end of your bed. At the other end of the spectrum, there is a very wealthy erotic art collector who has two warehouses filled with erotic art. One is on the East coast of the United States. The other warehouse is some where near London. And HE is the only one who can view this vast collection of erotica!

Obviously I am not ashamed of erotica and I don’t care who sees my art work. The photos on the these pages are a just glimpse of some rooms in our house and are meant to give you a few ideas as how you can easily hang erotic art in your home.
